Amazon Online Assesment Test

This post explains the Amazon online assessment test format. The goal is to familiarize the user with the test format. Assessment test formats change all the time the core idea remains the same.

Test Format:

1. Code Debugging 
2. Programming Test
3. Work-Style Assessment

4. Aptitude Test

Details:

The total time to complete the test is 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be a span of time between which the link is active and the candidate can log in to the test (usually 1 - 1.5 hour). The test link will be sent to the registered email address just prior to the commencement of the test. 

On clicking the link, first, the browser compatibility will be checked (Chromium is given a warning as not supported), and then the candidate proceeds to the test. 

1. Code Debugging: 

7 Questions | 20 min

First, a choice between C/C++/Java is to made to answer the question (This is only for the debugging section and the choice can be changed for the programming section). Questions include a pre-written program with logical error. Minor changes expected.

2. Programming problem:

2 Questions | 70 minutes

More languages supported for this section. The problem is randomly assigned to every candidate(luck plays a huge factor). Problems range from easy to difficult.  

3. Workstyle Assessment:

 About 40 Questions | Unlimited Time

Situations provided on both ends of a slider. The slider initially positioned in the center and candidate is expected to slide it to the place which is more applicable to one. The choice includes "Likely" and "more likely" for each situation.  

4. Aptitude test:

25 Questions | 30 minutes

Logical deduction questions asked in this section. However, the candidate has to confirm the present question before moving on to the next question and after moving on to a question cannot navigate back to previous questions.
